本专业培养品德优良、身心健康,具有高度社会责任感,理论基础扎实、创新意识强、具有一定的国际视野和良好发展潜力,掌握水文、水资源、水环境、以及水能方面的先进知识,具备跟踪本专业领域新理论、新方法、新知识、新技术的能力,能在水利、水务、能源、交通、城市建设、环境保护及其他相关领域从事勘测评价、规划设计、技术经济分析、预测预报和管理等工作的高级专门人才。

This major aims at cultivating advanced professional talents with good quality, healthy body and mind as well as high sense of social responsibility. Besides, they possess a solid theoretical foundation, strong sense of innovation, certain international perspective and good potential for development. With mastering advanced knowledge of hydrology, water resources, water environment and hydropower as well as having the ability to track new theories, new methods, new knowledge and new technologies in the field of this specialization, the talents can engage in survey and evaluation, planning and design, technical and economic analysis, forecasting and management in water conservancy, water affairs, energy, transportation, urban construction, environmental protection and other related fields.

三、专业培养基本要求  Skills Profile

本专业学生主要学习掌握水资源系统优化原理与方法、水环境保护、水资源规划及利用、水库优化调度、水资源与水环境管理、水文与水资源及水环境信息的采集与处理等方面的基础理论、基础知识和分析、设计方法。具有应用所学知识分析解决复杂工程问题、进行科学研究、组织生产管理的基本能力。

毕业生应具备以下几方面的知识和能力:

1. 工程知识:能够将数学、自然科学、工程基础知识,水文、水资源、水环境、水生态专业知识用于解决复杂水文与水资源工程问题。

2. 问题分析:能够应用数学、自然科学、工程科学的基本原理,识别、表达、并通过文献研究分析水文、水资源、水环境及水生态有关的复杂工程问题,获得有效结论的能力。

3. 设计/开发解决方案:能够设计针对水文、水资源、水环境及水生态有关的复杂工程问题的解决方案,设计满足特定需求的系统或单元,并能够在设计环节中体现创新意识,考虑社会、健康、安全、法律、文化以及环境等因素。

4. 研究:能够基于科学原理并采用科学方法,对水文、水资源、水环境及水生态有关的复杂工程问题进行研究,包括设计实验、分析数据、并通过信息综合得到合理有效的结论。

5. 使用现代工具:能够针对水文、水资源、水环境及水生态有关的复杂工程问题,开发、选择与使用恰当的技术、资源、现代工程工具和信息技术工具,包括对复杂工程问题的预测与模拟,并能够理解其局限性。

6. 工程与社会:熟悉国家和地方涉水的政策和法律法规,能够基于工程相关背景知识进行合理分析,评价专业工程实践和复杂工程问题解决方案对社会、健康、安全、法律以及文化的影响,并理解应承担的责任。

7. 环境和可持续发展:能够理解和评价针对水文与水资源复杂工程问题的工程实践对环境、社会可持续发展的影响。

8. 职业规范:具有人文社会科学素养、社会责任感,能够在水文与水资源工程实践中理解并遵守工程职业道德和规范,履行责任。

9. 个人和团队:能够在多学科背景下的团队中承担个体、团队成员以及负责人的角色。

10. 沟通:能够就水文、水资源、水环境及水生态有关的复杂工程问题与专业界同行及社会公众进行有效沟通和交流,包括撰写报告和设计说明书(文稿)、陈述发言、清晰表达或回应指令,并具备宽广的国际视野,能够在跨文化背景下进行沟通和交流。

11. 项目管理:理解并掌握工程管理原理和经济决策方法,并能够在多学科环境中应用。

12. 终身学习:具有自主学习和终身学习的意识,有不断学习和适应发展的能力。

Students of this major learn and master the basic theory, basic knowledge and analysis, design method of the principles and methods of water resources system optimization, water environmental protection, water resources planning and utilization, reservoir optimal scheduling, water resources and water environment management, hydrology and water resources and water environment information collection and processing, etc. Moreover, they should possess the basic ability to apply the knowledge to analyze and solve complex engineering problems, conduct scientific research and organize the production management.

The graduates should have the following aspects of knowledge and ability:

1. Engineering knowledge: Have the ability to apply mathematical, natural science, basic engineering knowledge, hydrology, water resources, water environment, aquatic expertise to solve complex hydrological and water resource engineering problems.

2. Problem Analysis: Have the ability to apply the basic principles of mathematics, natural science and engineering science to identify, express, and analyze the complicated engineering problems related to hydrology, water resources, water environment and aquatic ecology through literature research, and then get the effective conclusion.

3. Design / Development Solutions: Have the ability to design solutions to complex engineering problems related to hydrology, water resources, water environment and aquatic ecology, to design systems or units that meet specific needs and to be innovative in design with considering social, Health, safety, law, culture and the environment.

4. Research: Have the ability to research on complex engineering issues related to hydrology, water resources, water environment and aquatic ecology based on scientific principles and using scientific methods, including designing experiments, analyzing data and obtaining reasonable and effective conclusions through information synthesis.

5. Use modern tools: Have the ability to develop, select and use appropriate technologies, resources, modern engineering tools and information technology tools for complex engineering issues related to hydrology, water resources, water environment and aquatic ecology, including prediction and simulation of complex engineering problems, and be able to understand its limitations.

6. Engineering and Society: Be familiar with national and local water-related policies and laws and regulations, and have the ability to make reasonable analysis based on relevant project background knowledge, and evaluate the social, health, safety, legal and cultural impacts of professional engineering practices and solutions to complex engineering problems. Besides, understand the responsibilities that should be assumed.

7. Environment and Sustainable Development: Have the ability to understand and evaluate the impact of engineering practices on the complex engineering issues of hydrology and water resources on the environment and sustainable development of society.

8. Professional norms: Possess a humanities and social sciences accomplishment, sense of social responsibility and understand and abide by engineering ethics and norms in the implementation of hydrological and water resources engineering, and fulfill their responsibilities.

9. Individuals and teams: Have the ability to take on the role of individual, team member, and principal in a multidisciplinary team.

10. Communication: Have the ability to effectively communicate and exchange ideas with professional colleagues and the general public on complex engineering issues related to hydrology, water resources, water environment and aquatic ecology, including the preparation of reports and design specifications (manuscripts), presentation of speeches, articulation or response to directives. And have a broad international perspective with being able to communicate and exchange under the cross-cultural background.

11. Project Management: Understand and master the principles of project management and economic decision-making, and can apply these methods in a multidisciplinary environment.

12. Lifelong learning: Possess the consciousness of autonomous learning and lifelong learning with continuous learning and adaptability to development.
